Dany, The (kidney) Donor Dog

Dany has become Kidney Donor Conversations’ mascot dog. No, Dany did not donate a kidney. She is our donor dog because she is just so cute.
Dany is a Shiba Inu. She is Amanda Frey’s rescue dog from a puppy mill.
She is named after Dany (Daenerys Targaryen) from Game of Thrones. Yes, we are Game of Thrones fans!
Glenna Frey, APRN-CNS, is a nephrology nurse who donated her left kidney in April 2017 (nondirected). She and daughter Amanda Frey co-founded Kidney Donor Conversations in 2018 to increase awareness of Living Kidney Donation.
